Massage Therapy

  • Swedish Holistic Massage: A simple, relaxing, invigorating form of massage which uses oils. Usually a full body treatment from head to toe.
  • Sport Injury Massage: This is used to enhance recovery and recuperation from specific injuries, both new and old. A variety of massage techniques, stretches and exercises are employed to facilitate healing.
  • Deep Tissue Treatments: Deep tissue is a style of massage which uses a considerable amount of pressure. This allows the therapist to reach into the deeper fibres of the muscles and it is considered the a treatment of choice for those who like a strong massage. Our experienced and qualified therapists are expert in applying these techniques, but even so, some soreness may remain for a day or two after the treatment. Rest, good food and a long hot bath are advised after a good deep tissue treatment. For best results, no physical exertion for 48hrs .
  • Lymphatic Drainage: A simple and elegant massage.  A  gentle pressure is used to move lymphatic fluids around the body. This is a good choice for those with poor circulation, and prefer a lighter touch. Ideal for assisting detox plans.
  • Qi Gong Tui Na/ Acupressure Massage: This is a form of energetic massage similar to shiatsu. A variety of massage strokes both light and deep are employed to balance the patients energy.  This can be done with oil or on top of clothes!
  • Qi Gong Therapy: This is a natural extension of Qigong Tui Na Massage. The therapist uses a mixture of on the body and off the body techniques to stimulate and move the patient’s energy. Our therapists use their knowledge of the flow of Qi in nature to assist them in their treatments. This is similar to Reiki.
  • Myofacial Release: This is a neuromuscular type of treatment. In this treatment the therapist manipulates of the connective tissue and soft tissue structures of the body. The connective tissue forms a web/matrix around and throughout the whole body and the manipulation of this matrix can have deep effect on muscles and sinews as well as the nervous system. A slow treatment, involving static postures applied for several minutes each.
  • Indian Head Massage: This is a traditional Indian treatment.  A blend of oils is used to invigorate the hair, the scalp and face.  This is a very relaxing and soothing treatment that takes less time than a full body massage. It can also be incorporated into other treatments with little difficulty.
  • Facial Rejuvenation Massage: This is similar to the Indian head massage, but the emphasis is on the face and not the hair. The therapist aims to use a blend of oils to enhance circulation to the face and bring back the natural lustre to our features. Refreshing and invigorating, yet gentle.
