Acupuncture has been nothing less than a revelation to me!
I had been suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome (myalgic encephalomyelitis) for six months and had developed alopecia at the same time, which was still spreading and about which I was feeling pretty despondent. My local doctor had given what advice he could; the homeopath I had visited for years had just retired from practice. Instinct suggested that acupuncture might be helpful.
When I first arrived at the clinic, I instantly knew it was the right place for me. Awais welcomed me into a light and harmonious atmosphere in which I felt completely at ease. The room itself is beautifully lit and furnished with an almost Japanese sense of elegant simplicity. Music enhances the atmosphere and the clinic feels like a haven of peace.
Being new to acupuncture I had no idea what to expect from the treatment, and was astonished and delighted to begin feeling a sense of wellbeing from the first session. Awais supplemented the acupuncture with nutritional advice and qigong and tai ji meditation.
My health has continued to improve remarkably, almost, I could say dramatically. Over the last twelve weeks and now I have more energy than I have had in a couple of years. I feel mentally and emotionally more centred and my mood is much more positive. What’s more, the alopecia has not only been halted in its advance, but new hair has begun to grow. Awais recommend recommended that I supplement the acupuncture with Chinese herbs which seems to be speeding up the process.
I have one regret: that I did not try acupuncture many years ago. Its effects are proving truly remarkable. I really appreciate the holistic nature of the healing process, which affects every part of one’s being: its deeply nourishing for the spirit as well as the body.
Awais is very generous with his time and knowledge. Talking to him is an education in itself. He is more than a skilled acupuncturist: he is a true healer.
