Massage Therapy

  • Swedish Holistic Massage: A simple, relaxing, invigorating form of massage which uses oils.
  • Sport Injury Massage: This is used to enhance recovery and recuperation form injuries both new and old. A variety of massage techniques, streaches and exercises are used by the therapist.
  • Deep Tissue Treatments: Deep tissue is a deep style of massage which uses a considerable amount of pressure.  This allows the therapist to reach into the deeper fibres of the muscles. This is a treatment of choice for those who like a strong massage.
  • Qi Gong Tui Na/ Acupressure Massage: This is a form of energetic massage similar to shiatsu. A variety of massage strokes both light and deep are employed to balance the patients energy.  This can be done with oil or on top of clothes!
  • Indian Head Massage: This is a traditional Indian treatment.  A blend of oils is used to invigorate the hair, the scalp and face.  This is a very relaxing and soothing treatment.
  • Myofacial Release: This is a neuromuscular type of treatment.  In this treatment the manipulation of the connective tissue and soft tissue structures of the body.  The connective tissue forms a connective web/matrix around the whole body.  Manipulation of this matrix can have deep effect on muscles and sinews as well as the nervous system.
  • Lymphatic Drainage: A simple and elegant massage.  A simple amount of pressure is used to move lymphatic fluids around the body.  This is a good choice for those with poor circulation, and prefer a lighter touch.
  • Facial Rejuvenation Massage: This is similar to the Indian head massage, but the emphasis is on the face and not the hair.  The therapist aims to use a blend of oils to enhance circulation to the face and bring back the natural lustre to our features.
  • Qi Gong Therapy: This is an extension of Qigong Tui na Massage which is less common. The therapist uses a mixture of on the body and off the body techniques to stimulate and move the patient’s energy. Our therapists use their knowledge of the flow of qi in nature to assist them in their treatments.  This is similar to Reiki.
